CALGARY! I’M COMING FOR YOU! Four shows next weekend, October 23rd and 24th, at Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club! Alberta friends, please spread the word and tag your Calgary friends below!

39 SHOWS DOWN. JUST 13 TO GO!

What a beautiful year it has been! Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Tickets are now VERY limited for my upcoming shows at Fredericton Playhouse, Chester Playhouse and Imperial Theatre in Saint John. A few remain for Fox Harb’r Resort before I head west for a run of shows in British Columbia, then home for the BIG TOUR FINALE at Imperial Theatre on December 17th!

And NO, I will not be adding any more dates! Firstly, I’m absolutely knackered. Secondly, most nights I’m not on tour I’m performing at private corporate events. And thirdly, I’m gearing up for a massive book tour next year for Attention, Please! Plus, in January I’ll be starting work on a brand new stand-up show AND another book. Oh and writing and recording a stand up special in the UK for BBC Radio 4. Oof!

But first, 13 more shows, 13 more chances to make people laugh and celebrate this wonderful country I am so proud to call home.

In honour of Remembrance Day, the Chester Playhouse presents "Ridge" (featuring: The Fugitives), a visceral music storytelling show centred around the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

The Fugitives will perform their JUNO nominated 5th album "Trench Songs" to accompany the WWI storytelling and thought-provoking narrative. Based on the writing by WWI soldiers, the band wrote new melodies and music for these words. The result is a poignant and stripped-back collection of work that emphasizes the emotional content of the lyrics and continues the long tradition of folk music reshaping songs over time — the same way soldiers reshaped these songs in the trenches.

Join our host Liz Crocker as she sits down in conversation with award-winning author Donna Morrissey to discuss her newly released memoir Tell It to the Water.

Donna’s memoir of her father’s approaching death is a raucous hymn to family life–the ties that enthral, enrage and bind you, if only in your heart, to the place that will always be home because it’s where Mom and Dad set your wobbly feet on the ground.

Among Donna’s writing honours are the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award and the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Crime Fiction for The Fortunate Brother; Sylvanus Now was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize; and The Deception of Livvy Higgs was a One Read pick for Nova Scotia in 2017.

In honour of Truth and Reconciliation day, join us for an encore presentation of the 2025 TIFF Official Selection “Sk+te’kmujue’katik (At the Place of Ghosts)” plus a special screening of the short documentary “Buffalo”, two wonderful, local films which invite us to learn more about Indigenous stories and culture.

Filmed in Nova Scotia, “Sk+te’kmujue’katik (At the Place of Ghosts)” is the haunting tale that follows estranged Mi’kmaq brothers Mise’l and Antle as they return to a mystical forest where the living and spirit worlds collide.

“Buffalo” follows the story of Michelle Tweed, an Indigenous drum maker from Rockfield, Nova Scotia. In this journey, we join her as she crafts a beautiful drum using buffalo hide sourced from Verhagan Bison Farms.
