Based on a Zombie Outbreak, this haunted house features all custom built animatronic props and live actors who are sure to make you scream. As always we are accepting canned goods in support of the local food bank. At the age of 13, I started building my own props and costumes, creating scary sound tracks as well as building animatronics. My parents were kind enough to encourage my creativity and
support my scavenging the house for items I could transform into my next creation. I still have a few of my original creations which I still cherish to this day. I started my interest in haunted houses back in 1989 with a group of friends at the age of 14. I built some basic props and the results were amazing. My parents still talk about the teenagers who were so terrified they had to exit the house through the front door instead of going back out into the garage. My friends and I laughed about that for many years afterwards. I continued to expand and improve the haunted house for another 2 seasons until I was forced to give it up when my family moved to a new house. This passion for haunted houses stems from two interests. Special effects and the heart pounding adrenaline rush one gets from being scared. I’ve always wanted to work in Hollywood for a special FX company building animatronics. Unfortunately, my career path took me in a different direction, which is why I choose Halloween as a creative outlet to feed my passions. Fast forward 20 years and with a background in electronic engineering, computer automation, airbrushing and many years of building stuff... and lets just say that I've got a much bigger bag of tricks at my disposal to scare people. Custom built motorized props, pneumatics, animatronics, optical illusions, actors, lighting and sound effects are all used to make this a top notch attraction. All the props are custom built and are sure to impress. I really enjoy the challenge of designing something, building it, animating it then using it to scare someone. I am fortunate to have a great group of friends who also enjoy putting on a great show for all who visit. My friends play various parts in the production all sharing the goal of making this a memorable experience. When someone’s heart rate jumps through the roof followed closely by a loud scream, we know we’ve done a good job. I have a passion for the fine details that make this an entertaining experience and that is what I believe sets this haunted house apart from all the rest.
