Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Things have been so wild and crazy, because my lil sister and I have opened up our own tattoo studio! It’s been an absolutely incredible and rewarding experience, but blackxcatco has had to take a backseat since I’ve been channeling my creative energy into .tattoo.studio ~ I’m sure I’ll be back sometime in the future, but for now, give our shop page and my tattoo page () a follow to stay up to date with that side of my artistic journey!

sorry I’ve been AFK for a bit! For those of you that don’t know, I’m a full time tattoo artist (). Recently I’ve been wanting to specialize more in the neotraditional style because I’m so in love with it. But because it’s a lot more labour intensive when it comes to the designs/drawings, my jewelry etc. has had to take a backseat! I figured until I up my drawing skills to the point where I can do them quick enough to have leftover creative energy for jewelry/potions, I’d post my designs here 🥰 this originally started as my art account and I always swore I wouldn’t stress to much about sticking to one medium.

I’m super happy with how this pretty lady is turning out so far and I hope you like her!

taking some time off of Instagram definitely made me realize how negatively social media has been affecting my mental health - usually I can balance it but I’m finding that covid has really worn down my resilience to negativity, and that means I need to adapt. I can definitely see myself taking some more breaks in the future, and making sure my focus/energy is going towards my art rather than an app. I created this piece last week during my break and I call it The Book of Shadows. It features a pentacle dangle and a really lovely moss agate piece. I couldn’t bear to cover up the stone more than I needed to so I left the back open 💕 this will be listed in my Etsy shop sometime this week!

my sister traded me her Philodendron Florida Ghost in exchange for a plant guardian so I made this special guy for her! I had to make him a bit bigger to accommodate the piece of driftwood we found on one of our family adventures ✨

this hypersthene and abalone power piece is available in my shop! I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with soldering (even if I end up wanting to throw my equipment out the window sometimes 😅)

that morning glow ✨ this spirit quartz mini wand/statement pendant is now available in my Etsy shop, along with a few other goodies! I still have a couple more little pendants to list but everything else is now available!

It was so wonderful to see so many pieces go to good homes at the market this weekend, like this adorable little mushy stash jar! Thank you so much to for throwing such an amazing event, as usual!
