Here's something exciting to kick-off the weekend! Our license application to take part in the global theatre initiative, 'All Together Now' has been approved!

We're looking forward to staging our performance of this AMAZING production, and representing CK in this global celebration of live theatre! 🤩

We'll be keeping an eye on the reopening plans for live theatre, but we're ready to be nimble and adaptable so that our awesome students, teachers and friends can once again experience the complete JOY of preparing for a performance!

We're looking forward to November 2021! Get ready - next season is going to be a BIG ONE!

We know that November is a long way off, but we've got hope! We're looking forward to participating in this global theatre event with performers all around the world, and especially, our friends at Brio Academy!

Please so that we can gather in November and hear the two little words we've longed to hear since this all began: 'Places, please!'.

Things might seem as bleak as snow in April, but artists are always optimistic, and we're looking ahead to November, when we plan on participating in All Together Now - a unprecedented global theatre initiative that will allow companies from all over the world to perform a review of some of the most beloved numbers from hit Broadway musicals.

This will be a huge initiative! This show was created by some of the most famous names in Broadway to help theatre companies launch a production that will help start down the path to recovery for live performance. It's designed for in-person performance as well as streaming, so we'll be ready to roll, no matter what!

This will be a wonderful opportunity for our students - especially out Musical Theatre performers and dance teams! We'll be joining forces with our awesome theatre partner, Studio Black, to make sure this is an epic homage to everything that makes Broadway so incredible! ❤️

So for right now, please stay home and stay safe, so that we can look forward to making this November 2021 performance a celebration of everything we've overcome!

Here’s a pretty awesome shout-out from an incredible local talent! 😍 Stacie’s performance of Audrey II was phenomenal!

Put your hands together for Week 3 of with Stacie Dengel!

My most memorable role was definitely my most recent production in which I was cast as Audrey II in The Little Shop of Horrors, produced by Studio Black.

I firmly believe, I will never get an opportunity like this again. The part of Audrey II is almost always played by a male actor/singer. In my audition, I knew that it would be a stretch and although I went in singing for one of the female leads, I made sure to mention that I would like to be considered for Audrey II, if the creative team was open to the idea of a female actress/singer.

When I was given a call back for the role, I was excited and terrified. I practiced harder for this callback than any other before because I knew it required me to sing and perform in a way I had never done before and I needed to let the creative team know that they could take a chance on me! When I showed up for the callback, it was no surprise that is was a room full of talented men and…me. The hard work paid off and it was the best feeling ever!

This was my opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and show people that I could do more than sing sweetly. I had so much fun experimenting with my voice and tapping into a range and quality, even I didn’t know I had. Hearing the audience’ reaction to the fact that it was a female playing the role made it that much sweeter.
