The Village of Chase is pleased to announce their involvement in the burgeoning live music scene across the Shuswap region this summer on Tuesday nights in July and August. The "Music On The Lake" Summer Music Series will be from 6:30pm – 8:30pm along the shores of the Little Shuswap Lake at Memorial Park in Chase. It will include a Park Market ran by the Chase & District Festival Society, Art in
the Park ran by the Chase & District Chamber of Commerce, a Shop Local/Dine Local/Stay Local/Play Local campaign and more. Shuswap Tourism, a marketing organization which assists tourism development, has become very aware of the critical mass of live music venues and festivals in the region and has seen the need to promote the need for live music under the Shuswap Tourism brand. Chase is also excited to share that we are now part of this marketing initiative! There will be live music now everyday throughout the summer in Sicamous, Enderby, Salmon Arm, Scotch Creek, Blind Bay and now Chase! The Village of Chase Mayor and Council sees this as a great marketing opportunity to promote our beautiful village and surrounding areas. Council has allocated $7000 towards this initiative with a committee goal of $12,000 to successfully put on the events and the committee, ran by Councillors Lepsoe and Maki, is actively working towards that goal through sponsorships. With a collaboration of efforts we believe Chase will soon be an exciting new destination for many to enjoy the live music talents, both local and touring, throughout the Shuswap region.
