Check out this new game! We are adding "ACRON: Attack of the Squirrels" to all of our mobile headsets this week. The person wearing the headset plays the role of the tree defending itself from the squirrels. The coolest part about this is that your friends get to control the squirrels using their mobile phone touch screen!! ....SQUIRREL!!..... made you look :)

We started Ultimate VR back in 2017 as an idea to have some fun - we all enjoy technology and making it work so we can share the fun with others. So we bought some really sweet computers, big TVs and VR headsets, fine tuned it all, scared ourselves walking Ritchie's Plank - then hoped the people would come. And they did! Since that time we had been housed upstairs at Outriders and have hosted many a birthday party/staff party/date night and many more individual and group bookings and we continue to grow. We consumed many a chicken wing, fries with the works, and burgers of the month in the name of making the VR business work - and it has! Today, as the last computer powers down and the glow of its lights fade away, we say goodbye to Outriders. It's been a good ride - now it's time for us to saddle up and move on. We wish the new owners all the best in their future endeavors and thank the staff for their excellent service to us and our clients over the past few years. We will still continue to offer our MobileVR (from a different location close to Charlottetown) and we hope to be back up and running with a new location soon - if you think you've got the spot for us, feel free to reach out! Our story

In the fall of 2017 two of UltimateVR’s co-founders, Robert and Shawn, traveled to Montreal on business. While killing time one evening they came across a new form of entertainment - a virtual reality arcade. Ever curious of technology they gave it a shot and needless to say, they had a blast! Upon their return to red soil they described their experience, the fun, the excitement, the realism, to the 3rd and 4th co-founders, Dan and Andy. The disputed reports that there may or may not have been one or two muffled screams let loose by one of the co-founders while playing a particularly scary game in Montreal told us all there was something more to this new technology and that it would be fun to bring it to the Island. We set about making it happen and were open for business with just two stations for Christmas 2017. As 2018 rolled in Dan began to renovate the space, remove the golf simulator, and later that winter we installed all 4 stations. Since then, we’ve helped hundreds of folks experience virtual reality (games and experiences) for their first, second, maybe even third or fourth times! We’ve had many cases where those who have tried it return later with family and friends in tow. Often times 3 generations of a family will show up...everyone can play, but half the fun is just watching the action unfold on the big screens! We’ve been fortunate to have many great customers, family, and friends support us on this journey. Technology is forever changing and we look forward to continuing to be able bring the best of virtual reality gaming and experiences to PEI!
