Forever ago, like before last Christmas, I started a pot for Em. It pains me to say I only now finished it, but I am super pleased with the outcome 🙂 The pot is based on my friend Em's little babes, and it's called "The Guardians" because pets see us through so much, eh? I can't wait to deliver it! Love you Em, I hope you like it.

Time to work on being more present, so I turn to exercise and art :) Tonight on my walk, the skies look like a promise of much needed rain and the wind felt like change. I also finally came back to this pot for Em - it's been waiting for me since December? Still layering clay to make the guinea pigs, but it's definitely taking form. 💕

I have awesome friends who organize really fun gaming events like InclusiCon with PEERS Alliance. 🎲🧩

This pot was a donation for InclusiCon 2024 and is inspired by their logo (last photo). In my head, I called it "InclusiCon is Love".

Made with a terra cotta pot, it is painted with acrylics and sealed with a satin finish. The logo-medallion is made with apoxie sculpt.

The raffle winner was very pleased which is a huge win in my eyes :)

Update time - base layers of paint are down. I'm pleased with how the perspective on the dragonfly worked out - it looks like it's flying high above, I think.

You will see "sloppy edges" - I just fix them later rather than being perfect at this point - that's a recipe for crazy-making!

"Bee like Hannah"

This pot was made for Hannah Bell, an MLA on PEI, for her birthday as a commission! Her Mum and I decided upon bees because of their community-mindedness, hard work, and importance in ecology! Hannah is with the Green Party and cares deeply about her community and the environment. We should all bee more like Hannah :) Happy Birthday, H! 🥳
