The Vessel is a shared studio and co-working space for artists and arts workers, located at 171 Great George Street in Charlottetown, PEI.

THE VESSEL – ARTIST STUDIOS -

Established in 2017, The Vessel is a shared artist studio and co-working space in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The Vessel is dedicated to being responsive to the needs of its occupants, adapting the layout of the shared spaces to accommodate the various practices of its tenant artists and organizations. There are currently 10 artists and arts organi

zations working in The Vessel. The Vessel was initially created by artist and community organizer Becka Viau in response to the lack of affordable artist studio space in the community. Viau managed the space from 2017 through 2022. In 2023, CreativePEI took over the management of The Vessel, and now supports the operation of the space in collaboration with the studio's tenants. Over the years, the Vessel has provided creative work space for over 25 different artists and arts workers on PEI.

Make your art at The Vessel! We have TWO upcoming studio vacancies available to rent starting December 1. Studios are located in an open concept space that can be configured to your artistic needs. 🎨

We are a creative community home to six artists and two arts orgs. Tenants have 24/7 access, and access to our shared kitchen & bathroom, and common space. ✨

The spaces each rent for $210.45 (including HST) and can be rented separately or together.
