Avant toutes choses nous tenons à remercier Christine Damours ainsi que toute la famille de Denis. Votre collaboration a été essentielle et le projet n'aurait pas pu prendre forme sans vous.
Aussi, nous tenons à remercier les membres et l’entourage du groupe Voïvod. Merci d'avoir cru en nous et d’avoir mis en œuvre tout ce qui était possible pour faire progresser le projet.
Merci aussi à nos ambassadrices et ambassadeurs de s’être prêtés au jeu et d'avoir fait la promotion du projet.
Un grand merci aux commanditaires de la Scène Locale qui ont pu associer leurs groupes ou de leurs entreprises au projet avec fierté.
À tous les contributeurs peu importe le montant investi dans la campagne de financement, un gros merci d’avoir manifesté votre intérêt au projet.
Enfin, merci à tous ceux qui, de près ou de loin, ont mis de leur temps et de leur énergie dans le projet Piggy Monument.
La campagne de financement Kickstarter tire à sa fin en ayant amassé plus du tiers de son objectif. Ce qui veut dire que personne ne sera débité du montant investi dans la campagne et que nous n’aurons aucun sous. C’était l’enjeu que nous nous étions fixé et nous devons en accepter l’issue.
Nous avons personnellement investi beaucoup de temps, d’argent et d'espoir dans ce projet. L’intention était sincère, le projet nous semblait rassembleur et la stratégie de promotion nous paraissait stimulante, inclusive et efficace. Nous y avons cru et nous y croyons encore!
L’heure est au bilan. Nous devons nous réunir et entamer une réflexion sur ce que nous avons accompli de bien et ce qui n’a pas fonctionné. La sculpture, quant à elle, existe. Elle est en dormance quelque part en format numérique. Nous devons nous questionner sur la pertinence du projet et la possibilité d’élaborer un Plan B.

The Kickstarter funding campaign is coming to an end having raised over a third of its goal. This means that no one will be charged for the amount invested in the campaign and we will not have any money. This was the challenge we set for ourselves and we have to accept the outcome.
We personally invested a lot of time, money and hope in this project. The intention was sincere, the project seemed unifying and the promotion strategy seemed stimulating, inclusive and effective. We believed in it and we still do!
It is time to take stock. We need to get together and reflect on what we did right and what didn't work. As for the sculpture, it exists. It is dormant somewhere in digital format. We need to question the relevance of the project and the possibility of developing a Plan B.
