Thank to all who entered the Winter Squash Bench Show! Seeds from the champion squash will be at the Castor Municipal Library ’s Seed Library. There are also seeds from past year's champions there, so grab what you need and grow a squash for Winterfest next year! We had no entries for longest or ugliest this year, so grow some! Someone needs to win, it should be you!

Winterfest 2026 Sculpture contest winners, theme of light:
1. EMC church - Jesus is Light sculpture

3. Paintearth Lodge - Christmas tree (head to Castor and District Housing Authority for a lit up photo!)

Many thanks to Town of Castor and SeedMaster for the prizes for our winners in addition to their ribbons.

Honorable mentions to the hospital who did an orthoscope that lit up and Cornucopia Gourmet Popcorn & Treats with a lighted popcorn display. Appreciate the effort to sculpt in this warm weather.
