Hello dance friends. As many of you know I had hoped to begin some dance lessons for the community this fall, but I’ve struggled to find the perfect venue for this. I’m excited to share that during my journey to find the right venue I’ve had things fall into place and have purchased a new building at 234 Main Street Cardston! Most know that since Covid I had to close my doors and sell the building I used to own for Jodi’s Dance Academy and pursued Real Estate School. I’ve since become a realtor and really love it! I do however hope to find time to continue to teach some dance classes when the time is right. Recently I have moved to a new real estate brokerage - Grassroots Realty and was also on the look out for a home for my new real estate office. Having this building on Main Street will provide me with a new real estate office AND a dance studio in the back! I feel very very grateful that this opportunity has come along. This building is in need of renovations to get it to where we need, which means we can’t start lessons yet! Realistically not until next year. So, in the meantime, I invite you to follow my journey with renovations over at my Real Estate page Jodi Atwood Grassroots Realty Group South. I appreciate the support of my community. Such a delightful group of girls right here. Several of them have been dancing with me over 10 years! Where does the time go?? They are growing up and turning into beautiful young women. I’m grateful for our time together and that they’ve stuck with me even though things look different now. I always look forward to class with them! 💞

The new francophone school in town asked me to teach their students dance over the last 6 weeks and I loved every moment. They learned some French ballet terminology and steps, and they taught me lots of French words too! Tonight they got to perform a little number for their parents. I will miss them! Joyeux noël little ones! ✨🎄🤩🕺💃

This year for our JDA Christmas service project, we are doing something special called “ADOPT A GRAN”. The dancers spent time today writing a letter to his or her special Gran (whom they haven’t met yet). We also took each dancer’s picture to send along with their letter. These special envelopes will be hand delivered this week to the seniors home in Cardston. Then, on Dec. 15 our dancers will get to meet their Gran when we go perform a special Christmas program for them! Our dancers have been gearing up and they are so excited for this! I’m so proud too of their desire to bring some joy to our Cardston seniors this Christmas season! 🎄💃🕺🎁❤️
