🌷 Brighten Up Someone's Day with a Beautiful Bouquet 💐

👉🏼 We will have another delivery coming up: Thursday June 18

🤔 Do you know someone who deserves a special surprise?

🌿 You can nominate a person whom you feel deserves a beautiful bouquet. Please tell me a little about them and why you think they should receive it. (All in a DM!)
The only requirement is that the recipient must live in Cap-Acadie.

I am very much looking forward to reading your stories, but even more so to personally delivering the bouquet on Thursday, June 18, on behalf of Philippa's Herb Garden 🌿💐❤️

Eat Thy W**d 😀💪🏼

I am always so thankful for the chickweed that pops up spontaneously in our greenhouse/she shed.

Chickweed has many wonderful benefits ❣️ It has traditionally been used in herbal and homeopathic remedies, including for skin conditions such as shingles. It is also rich in vitamin C and is often considered a spring tonic with gentle cleansing properties.

I love adding it to salads, but this time I used it with fresh pasta noodles 😋

Nothing beats fresh food, especially when it comes straight from the garden whenever possible. In this case, everything was grown naturally—without chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides. Just healthy plants growing as nature intended.

Many of the plants we now call "weeds" were once valued vegetables, herbs, and medicines. Somewhere along the way, we humans simply changed our minds about them.

When I opened the blinds this morning and saw the first poppies bloom, I was absolutely delighted.
Perhaps it was their vibrant color that made me jump up ♥️ and head outside to look for more blooms.

There is something so beautiful about flowers awakening. Their beauty has a way of uplifting your spirit and filling your soul with joy.

😍 And you can experience that too!

🌿Almost done redoing and weeding the flower bed in front of the house! 🌿💚

This one has been quite a task due to some stubborn root systems, but also because of the many bulbs hidden throughout the bed. My goal is to have mainly ninebark, blazing star, and columbine growing there, but I'm pretty sure plenty of other plants will decide to make an appearance too. 😂

As every gardener knows, weeding and garden maintenance are ongoing processes. Tomorrow I'll finish the last bit of this bed and then move on to several others that are in need of a rigorous makeover.

🐓 I am very grateful for the help of our chickens. They do a wonderful job reducing the volume of weeds!

In the meantime, the garden is rewarding us with so much beauty. Columbines, perennial bachelor's buttons, clematis, horseradish flowers, lilacs, snowball viburnum, chokecherries, and many more are unfolding and blooming. And the strawberries will be ready soon! ❤️🍓

🌿 Pop-Up Workshops Are Here! 🌿

I have decided to start offering Pop-up Workshops! 😃

That means that once in a while — or perhaps more often than that 😂 — I will announce a workshop whenever inspiration strikes and the timing feels right.

✨ The first Pop-up Workshop will take place on Sunday, June 14:
Kitchen Herbal Wreath Workshop

🌿 What will we make?

We will create a charming little herbal wreath using an 8-inch metal ring as the base.
The wreath can be covered with fresh herbs such as thyme, but other options are available too, including catmint (which is often mistaken for lavender). You can even combine several herbs to create your own unique design.

Not only will it look beautiful in your kitchen, but it will also smell wonderful! 🌿💚

💰 Cost: $45.00 per person
