Over the summer, many of our visitors have met or corresponded with Bobbi, our Box Office Manager and Visitor Services coordinator, and we're excited to boost her upcoming music therapy pilot-program!

Come join this music therapy-informed pilot program held at the Evangeline Mental Wellness Hub in Berwick! Build community and learn how to use music therapeutically to support your wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. The activities will be chosen and developed in partnership with a Certified Music Therapist, community collaborators, and the group participants too! It’s going to be a great time with endless possibilities!

The program starts September 14th and the group will gather every Monday from 6:30pm-7:30pm (except Thanksgiving Monday) for 8 weeks. Sign-up is first-come, first-serve!

Bobbi is the lead researcher (Master in Community Development student) and Certified Music Therapist on the project. Contact her at [email protected] or 403-506-6803 for more info or to sign up.

2 more weeks before the start of our 2026 Teen Academies, and we're still looking to fill some spaces!

The Teen Arts Academy provides students aged 14 to 18 years old with an intensive, preprofessional experience in the arts, facilitated by a faculty of professional artists.

Our Theatre Academy this year will be facilitated by our very own Chris O'Neill, Executive Director of Ross Creek and current company member of ! Chris was awarded the Mallory Gilbert Leadership Award in 2023 for her leadership in the professional theatre community in Canada.

Meanwhile, our Writing Academy is being facilitated by another familiar face, Artistic Director of Two Planks, Ken Schwartz. Ken is a multiple award winning director and playwright.

Who better to guide and mentor our students than two artists who have paved the road for everything we do here at Ross Creek?

Call us at 802-582-3842 or email us at [email protected] to register for the Teen Academies today!

3 weeks until our Teen Academies kick-off, and we still have space available!

The Teen Arts Academy provides students aged 14 to 18 years old with an intensive, preprofessional experience in the arts, facilitated by a faculty of professional artists.

Developing skills in independent and collaborative environments, students spend two weeks pushing boundaries and having fun with like-minded peers.

Students choose a discipline in either Visual Arts, Film, Writing, Theatre, or Music, and work with their peers and mentors to create a portfolio that can be used for post-secondary applications and programs!

Our summer campers enjoy a variety of recreational activities between their arts workshops, and today we got a chance to do some "eco rec" — one of our favourite and longstanding traditions is gathering honey with our Property Manager, Dave!

Dave shows campers the active hives that he tends to and maintains right here at Ross Creek, pulls out hive frames, all so campers can make that irreplaceable connection with nature and to see where honey really comes from. The campers get to ask all sorts of bee-related questions, and get to see firsthand how gentle and docile a well-cared for hive can be.

And what would honey gathering be if we didn't give campers a chance to taste fresh honey right from the comb — some campers even enjoyed chewing on fresh beeswax!
