The gallery features his canvas and stone works as well as is home to the WHO IS BOO Book series.

WAIT THERE’S MORE! As promised!! 2016 was such a year of huge growth for ❤️ The airport ( as previously mentioned) but also being a part of build was incredibly exciting, with work in the rooms and all over this beautiful new hotel. Canmore Gallery got a new sign! Also started a beautiful relationship ( still ongoing) with ; “Prince Of The Prairie” art show Art Gallery; “The Wild Party” ; the first (nervous) reading of Who Is Boo 3 to the students of Hardisty School in And as The Carter-Ryan on Main turned 5 years old, in December 2016, we signed a lease for a smaller, but perfectly situated 2nd gallery on the corner of Wolf and Bear in , which would open three months later! It was a year! Dream on friends!❤️❤️

WAIT! Jumping on the ‘what happened 2016/10 years ago’ trend before it taps out- could not have been a bigger year for and the galleryas he created over 52 epically large pieces of art for What an honour! What joy! It opened October 31, 2016 and to this day, is viewed by millions of travellers yearly. “Just so grateful” ( Jason Carter) also of note… new carving studio home officially found in Elk Run in - there were a couple of fantastic art openings as well ( Okotoks Art Gallery) and the MOOSE HOTEL, … oh geez…may have to do a part 2….wait for it😀👌🏼

CARTER-RYAN’S KICK OFF TO CHRISTMAS PARTY- with a reveal of some brilliant new work, by

It’s our annual Carter-Ryan Kick Off To Christmas Party; our day to celebrate as we launch the online Christmas Shop, reveal new work by Jason Carter and share a few stunning new prints (in canvas and paper) We would love for to join us!!

Swing on by The Carter-Ryan (both galleries will be hoppin’) to view Jason’s new work in stone and canvas as he begins to roll out some wonderful new pieces just in time for Christmas!
We will raise a glass of bubbly, feast upon the incredible charcuteries (made by our very own charcuterie superstar, Lindy Mullen)
and mingle and jingle with some of the finest folks in the Bow Valley(including Jason Carter himself)

When: Saturday November 22, 2025
Time: 2 - 530PM
Where: Canmore Gallery 705 Main Street & Banff Gallery 229 Bear Street
( the artist will be in attendance at both - you may pass him on hwy 1🥹)

Stop on by and perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to get your hands on one of the (very) limited Alabaster Sitting Bear ornaments, or pick up that perfect painting or is it a sculpture that will deck the hall with jolly👌🏼We will also be sharing some new additions to the available prints, in both canvas and paper, where we launch the Christmas shop!

If you are unable to make it out to the galleries on Saturday, all the work will be online as of Saturday November 22, 2025 at 10 AM.
And never fear, Jason will be revealing new work for the next 30 days (right up to Christmas)
If you would like ‘immediate peeks’ as the work becomes available, please DM with email and we will send you pictures of the new pieces as they arrive from the studio over the next month.

JASON CARTER’S Summer Show ‘Inner Landscape’, a series in stone and canvas.

Jason has been working non stop in the painting and carving studio in preparation for his summer show happening next weekend. Both galleries will feature Jason Carter’s latest series of fabulous new stone sculptures in Alabaster, Soapstone and Chlorite, and over 34 new paintings celebrating the exploration of the ‘inner landscape’.

For the first time, both the Canmore Gallery and Banff Gallery will have openings with the artist in attendance. (with an abundance of charcuterie and prosecco at both)
