Stop by and enjoy Andrew Olscher and "My Favourite Songs" - jazz standards and show tunes from the "Great Americian Song Book", perhaps a Scottish or Irish folk tune or "sing-a-long song" mixed in, and sometimes even an original, country-flavoured tune. Andrew is a songwriter, vocalist and jazz trombonist and is accompanied by professional quality, self-produced, instrumental backing tracks that add depth, style and variety to his performance. PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT!!

Meghan Love is a local musician who has cultivated an impressive and energetic acoustic solo show, as well as fronting local band, The Chachkies. With her acoustic guitar showcasing her powerful vocals, Meaghan has played to patrons of various establishments in and around the Quinte area for the past 16 years. Meaghan focuses on acoustic music performed by female singers for all occasions.

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT!!!

John Tasse has been playing music for over seventy years. He started at age 11 in Northern Quebec when an older brother gave him a guitar and wanted him to learn 3 chords so he could accompany him on fiddle. When John was old enough he went to the city and a music store and bought a selection of books where he began his journey of mostly self teaching on both guitar and fiddle. He learned from books, classical, flamenco, latin rhythm, and country. He did take a few lessons on guitar and fiddle, but 80% of what he learned was self taught. Today he plays in the house band for Monday Night Music in Codrington where he is able to play rhythm guitar, lead guitar, base guitar and violin. His humour and good cheer have made him a popular part of the band.

Janet Griffin worked in the horse industry for 40 years as an artist and photographer. Upon retirement and selling off the horse farm and ownership of these animals for fifty years, she took up the passion of music and with the help of a few lessons and online instructors, she was amazed and excited to be able to quickly be able to learn and play the pop and rock music she grew up with. Later she started attending open mics and collaborating with other musicians, and five years later she plays every day. She is a member of the Hasting Ukeulele Band and practices hard. She enjoys live music performances by other musicians and supports local Canadian talent.

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT!!!

Music has always been a passion for David Papple. The opportunity to seriously explore his “muses” happily coincided with the move to Campbellford over 25 years ago. The guitar is his instrument of choice and in his mid-30’s he seriously took to learning its ways and began to play professionally.

A series of local combo’s and pop bands led to a 15 year part-time “career” as the ‘instrumental’ member of “Bridge Street”, a well-known local pop/country duo as well as part of the infamous trio “The POGs”. On occasion he performed for Westben as the guitarist in the “pit band”, in such musicals as “Jesus Christ Superstar, “The Sound of Music”, and “Samson”.

Recently, David has been involved with a variety of musical ventures, including several local bands. Today, he regularly performs guitar-vocals on his own and as a member of a burgeoning pop/jazz//blues ensemble,

His musical interests have expanded to luthier work, guitar building, and amplifier restoration and maintenance. He regularly rehearses and records at his home recording studio.

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT!!

Candice and Ken will share Classic Rock, Folk and Pop songs written by some of their favorite songwriters. They took inspiration from John Prine, Guy Clark, Cyndi Lauper, Rodney Crowell, Kate Wolf, Neil Young, and Mark Knopfler just to name a few of the songwriting/performing artists they admire. Ken plays guitar, and Candice plays mandolin with dynamic harmonies. They have performed annually at Porchella in Campbellford, with Pineapple Productions’ showcases, Colborne in the Park, and every Monday night at the Codrington Community Centre Monday Night Music for many years.

SUZI WESSON is a versatile actor/singer who toured extensively with Les Misérables, was featured as a solo artist at Jaymz Bee’s Jazz FM's One-Stop Vocal Jazz Safari, trotted out her
big band chops to sing with The Uptown Swing Band, and fronts The Dark Angel Blues Band.
DOUG BALFOUR has played under the stage in the pit of shows like Sunset Boulevard,Wicked and Phantom of the Opera, on the stage music directing Forever Plaid and Ain'tMisbehavin', and behind the keys in great old rock ‘n roll bands like The Fridgidaires. He’scurrently still rocking with Robbie Lane and the Disciples.
