Maybe you danced in the street at Live Streets, took the kids to make something at a community event, explored some local history with visiting family, or stopped to check out an exhibition. Arts and culture show up in our lives in all kinds of ways.
The Campbell River Arts Alliance brings together five local arts, culture and heritage organizations: Campbell River Art Gallery, Campbell River Arts Council, Maritime Heritage Centre, Campbell River Museum and Tidemark Theatre
Together, we're part of a much bigger arts and culture story in Campbell River. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing some of the numbers and stories behind what this sector contributes to our community, from our economy and quality of life to our health and sense of connection.
With a municipal election coming up, we think it's a good time to talk about the role arts and culture play in the community and where they fit into Campbell River's future.
