Well Facebook, it’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here- introducing the newest addition to the Natural Collection product line; our hand sculpted Sheet Music Stand. I designed this piece with our Performing Stool in mind, in hopes that their unique curves and shapes would complement each other and create the perfect pairing. Much of the design was also inspired by the inner workings of an acoustic guitar, and the brass of woodwind instruments. As always, I’ve tried my best to put as much thought into the functionality as I have the aesthetics, which is why each stand allows for height and tilt adjustments, giving the player the freedom to position the sheet music however suits them best. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the way this piece turned out, and I hope it will serve to inspire musicians for years to come.

Often times when we are out at markets and trade shows, we get to see first hand the excitement in folks faces when they experience our products in person. We often ask, “do you play?” to which many reply, “Nope, but I’m an admirer!” or, “Not as much a I should, but I collect!” And that’s just it. You don’t need to be a classically trained, professional musician to fall in love with the instruments themselves. Instruments are beautiful works of art in their own right. They hold memories and mark pivotal moments in our lives. Many are family heirlooms. Some are worth thousands, and some, though maybe not worth more than a few bucks in their current state, are priceless in their sentimental value.

And that’s where we come in. We see instruments as beautiful pieces of art. And we believe they should be displayed as such. Kept safe and preserved well, yet displayed in style and with pride. In a way that compliments the instruments, and their unique shapes and colours. The designs of our pieces are highly inspired by the curves of the instruments, the inner workings of a guitar, the lusterous metals of the brass and woodwinds. Yet we understand the importance of preserving the instruments, which is why we focus just as much on functionality as we do on design. Incorporating protective corks, safe for finishes. Humidification, to extend the life of your instrument, and much more.

We strive to put just as much thought, care, and attention to detail into the displays we create, as the luthiers put into the instruments they build.

So go ahead, spoil your instrument. It deserves it 😉
