We've seen the comments, messages, and petition regarding air conditioning at the Tidemark and, first and foremost, thank you. The passion behind this conversation speaks to how much this theatre means to our community.
We share the concerns about extreme heat and recognize the challenges it creates for performers, volunteers, staff, and audiences. Improving climate control and being able to host events in the summer months has been a long-standing priority for the Society.
The recent approval of a long-term lease creates opportunities that did not previously exist and puts us in a stronger position to explore future funding opportunities, partnerships, and potential capital improvements.
While a project of this scale requires significant planning, funding, and community support, we are encouraged by the response we've seen over the past week. We are grateful to everyone who has shared their experiences, signed the petition, and advocated for this important community asset.
For those who have asked how they can help, supporting the Tidemark through donations, memberships, volunteering, and advocacy helps strengthen our ability to pursue future improvements and enhancements to the theatre.
We look forward to working with our partners, supporters, and the City of Campbell River to explore what may be possible for the future of the Tidemark.
