Just a little final string height adjustment to finish off this Ukulele build. Nice Padron box. Maple, Purple Heart and Narre wood neck. Cabinet hinge tailpiece. 15 inch action, added a piezo just for fun. The black nylon strings are a nice accent.

It's been a while since I posted anything. Too much stuff going on but finally getting back into the shop. Just finished this custom instrument for a friend. He provided a nice old box from 1928. The neck is Nara wood with a Sapele and Maple fretboard. The gold frets are rich looking and I love the cat on the moon decoration on the head. Just put the strings on this morning so after a few days under tension I will reset the intonation.

It's been a while since I posted anything, mostly due to enjoying the summer rather than being closed up in my little shop. But now I'm back exploring some new ideas. It has been awhile since I posted anything, so I thought I would update everyone on what has been happening.
My shop was becoming so disorganized and hard to keep a good work flow, that it had started to effect my creative flow too. So the only way to get back on track was to revamp my work space and start fresh. My shop is too small as it is so the process has been slow, trying to stuff a woodshop and Luthier's passion in a 10x10 space. I'm about half way through now and it is already feeling more inviting. Won't be long now, soon the chips will fly again! See you soon..
