Picked up something really cool for the personal collection, a table top standee from one of my favourite franchises: Fire Emblem.

Great to add this to the PC, not so great having to pay $182 duties on a $300 purchase from the States 😢.

The gentleman that traded in the crispy Pokemon blue came back and traded in a similar condition first print Pokemon yellow.

Sure, the condition and completeness are cool and all but can we take a second to admire my favourite part, the Best Buy customer rain check from 1999 🤯.

Not new copies this time but just got a solid mailcall of Japanese Pokemon games as well as a Pokemon Center Japan 3rd Anniversary Gameboy Color system!

Mr. Manga That Manga Guy dropped by the shop today.

I must’ve met Rui 6ish years ago at the Guelph Video Game swap and we quickly connected over our passion for collectables. He was heavy into Manga and I was heavy into games, it was a ton of fun chatting with someone local who also enjoyed high end nerdy stuff.

He moved to Japan, crushed it in the manga space, was on an Amazon documentary Card Bound and did a lot of cool stuff before coming back to Canada.

Great to catch up my dude and looking forward to more frequent chats now that you’re back 👊.

Picked up a really cool piece of Canadian gaming history today, a sealed copy of Duck Hunt with the Mattel distribution sticker on it denoting a Canadian release (along with the double SOQ and French text).

The seller of this item had kept it with him for nearly 40 years. He had, like many others, received the SMB/Duck Hunt pack in with his Action Set and was gifted this copy as a child.

Nearly 4 decades later, it was still in his closet. He had listed it on marketplace locally and we were able to strike a deal!

Super happy with this piece for the PC, there’s only one copy on the PSA Games population report for the canadian print so far, so this makes two 👊.

Quite possibly one of the cleanest copies of Pokemon Blue walked into the shop today.

The box was so nice I told the customer it may be a fake, before opening to confirm that it was in fact real. This thing is as crisp as it gets, fully complete and even has the original security sticker!

Brandon came in looking to trade his gaming collection for some One Piece.

This morning, he traded in his XBOX Series S and X and then came back again this evening to trade in some more goodies toward some OP-13 packs.
