Gear nerd post! Finally grabbed the final piece of the puzzle for the hardware vocal & sax recording chain - a gorgeous opto comp from . Now we've got a Neve preamp going right into a blue stripe 1176 to catch the peaks, and then the v3a at the end to smooth it all out.

Running it in parallel into the Sony rackmount unit and we can have a lush plate reverb print at the same time. A nice, polished vocal that sits perfectly in the mix with 0 plugins.

Still crazy to believe this is real. If you told me 6 years ago I'd have a studio like this I wouldn't believe ya. Let's...

let's talk acoustics!! it's one of the most important things to have in a studio and lots of people overlook it or do it wrong but with good intentions. Forgot to mention but GIK Acoustics does free consultations. I connected with them to get the layout and panel type information, and then hired someone local to build and execute the plan.
