Laasya - Bharatanatyam Dance Studio Where tradition meets passion, and every step echoes centuries of storytelling. Dance Classes offered for students age 6 and above.

An Academy of Indian Classical Dance in Calgary promoting the rich and vibrant Indian culture imbedded in the traditional classical dance form – Bharatanatyam. Dancers also enjoy a monthly event “Laasya Vidya” hosted by parent volunteers to learn about different aspects related to Bharathanatyam like Yoga, Indian Festivals, Indian Music, Indian Gods, Indian Classical Dances, and much more.

My heart is filled with pride and gratitude

To all 18 Laasya girls who participated in the CBKM 2026 dance competition last weekend, each one of you made me incredibly proud. Watching you on that stage, the confidence and grace, reminded me exactly why I pour my heart into this art form and into all of you. You stood true to my vision of Laasya. Congratulations on an outstanding display of dedication and commitment 🥰

Winning 1st & 2nd place in the Junior Classical category, and the 2nd place & a Special Mention in the Senior Classical category, is a wonderful achievement and a moment for all of us to celebrate. But the real success lied in how you showed up. Even after the glitch in music, you continued dancing flawlessly to the very end. I am soo very proud of the dancers you have become, my heart is full 💕

To all the parents, thank you for your trust, encouragement, and unwavering support. Your commitment plays an invaluable role in your daughters’ growth and success, and I am deeply grateful for our partnership 🙏
