You are cordially invited to step into a world of elegance and romance with this exclusive 11-week Ladies Performance Team led by Calgary’s Ballroom Sweetheart and National Dancesport Judge, Diana Lefebvre. Inspired by the flowing beauty of the Viennese Waltz and the enchanting charm of Bridgerton, this performance experience blends timeless ballroom technique with expressive storytelling and artistry.

This unique performance experience focuses on refining ballroom technique, musicality, styling and expressive performance quality while exploring the elegance, softness and storytelling that make Waltz so captivating. Dancers will develop their artistry, confidence, and presence on the dance floor as they work together to create a beautiful and memorable performance.

Throughout the 11 weeks, participants will learn a choreographed showcase routine, culminating in a performance at the Alberta Dancesport Christmas Showcase on December 11.

Whether you’re looking to elevate your dancing, challenge yourself artistically or experience the excitement of performing as part of a team, Winter Waltz: Ladies Performance Team offers a supportive, inspiring and unforgettable journey.

Alberta Dancesport presents - The Tango Affair: Performance Team 🔥💃🕺

Join Calgary’s Ballroom Sweetheart and National Dancesport Judge, Diana Lefebvre and professional instructor, Ryan Anderson for The Tango Affair: Performance Team - a dynamic 11-week ballroom tango course designed for dancers looking to refine their technique, expand their figure repertoire and elevate their performance skills.

Drawing from both the International and American Style Tango syllabi, this course focuses on practical, leadable figures, improved partnering, musicality, footwork and the distinctive character of Tango.

Throughout the 11 weeks, students will work toward a choreographed showcase routine, culminating in a performance at Alberta Dancesport Christmas Showcase on December 11.

Whether your goal is to improve your dancing, challenge yourself with new material, or experience the excitement of performing, The Tango Affair: Performance Team offers a fun, supportive, and inspiring tango journey.

💃 Intermediate dancers are welcome to register. Couples and singles are welcome, making this a great opportunity to develop your tango skills, meet fellow dancers, and enjoy the excitement of performing as part of a team.🕺

Thank you for making the 32nd Annual Calgary Open Dance Competition an unforgettable event! ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Calgary Open such an incredible success. To our judges, volunteers, emcee, scrutineer, music directors, coaches, competitors, and spectators, this event simply would not have been possible without all of you.

It was truly inspiring to see so many new and familiar faces come together through the shared love of dance. The sense of community, support, and camaraderie throughout the weekend was something really special.

To all of the talented competitors who took to the dance floor, thank you for sharing your hard work, passion, and beautiful performances with us. You brought so much energy and excitement to the event. And to our amazing audience, your cheers, applause, and encouragement created an electric atmosphere that made the weekend even more memorable.

We are also incredibly grateful to our emcee, scrutineer, music team, and esteemed panel of judges for your professionalism, expertise, and dedication. And to our volunteers, thank you for all of your hard work behind the scenes. Your support was essential in helping everything run so smoothly.

Once again, thank you all for your passion, energy, and support. We are truly grateful to be part of such an amazing dance family, and we can’t wait to see everyone again on May 22 & 23, 2027! ❤️

These two were utterly hilarious…their vision right out of a Disney movie… but really😂

Congratulations to Jon & Sara for the privilege of creating their epic first dance. I’m not sure who laughed more during the lessons. Can’t wait to see the final result!
