Summer Day Camp – Frequently Asked Questions
How are students grouped?

We use a variety of flexible groupings throughout the day to create the best experience for every camper. Friends and siblings are welcome to stay together if they wish.

Depending on the activity, children may be grouped by age, grade level, skill level, or shared interests. At other times, campers work and play together as one larger group.

One of the unique benefits of our camp is the opportunity for children ages 4–12 to learn and interact together. Younger campers gain confidence by learning from older children, while older campers develop leadership skills, patience, and responsibility by helping younger campers. Many wonderful friendships are formed across age groups!

Happy Victoria Day!

Today we recognize Queen Victoria and reflect on the history that has helped shape the Canada we know today. Our past connects to the present in meaningful ways, reminding us how learning, discovery, and innovation continue to build the world around us.

Victoria Day also marks the unofficial start of summer—long weekends, outdoor adventures, beach days, and time spent with family and friends. It’s a perfect reminder that curiosity and learning don’t only happen in classrooms; they naturally show up in the world around us, from exploring nature to noticing patterns, building ideas, and asking questions during everyday experiences.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the incredible moms and mother figures who nurture, guide, and support us in so many meaningful ways 💐

Today we honour the love, patience, and strength that shape children’s lives—whether that comes from a mom, grandmother, aunt, caregiver, or any special person who plays a maternal role. Every family is unique, and so is every expression of care, and all of them deserve to be celebrated.
