Hey Calgary!

This upcoming Monday, April 21, 2025, Comedy Monday Night celebrates 20 years of serving up the laughs, and what a night it’s going to be!

Our anniversary show will be hosted by one of our closest, and most trusted funny friends, Daryl Makk!

With Daryl, some of the funniest comics on any planet!
Headliner? They’re ALL headliners!

Here’s who we’ll be celebrating with:

Chris Gordon, Sterling Scott, Chris Griffin, Lori Ferguson-Ford, Mike Lynch, Jeremy Furlong, Julia Stretch, David Reuben, Norm Shaw, Mike Greenwood, Paul Kuster, Scott Dumas & Brittany Lyseng!

Plus, I’m sure there will be one or two surprises among the stellar line-up!

Be aware, there WILL be cake after the show, so plan on sticking around for that, AND we’ll be opening up a mic for any others that would like to wade into our 20th anniversary and say a few words or propose a toast!

Calgary’s never had a longest running open mic show in Canada before, and it’s worth celebrating, we look forward to seeing you at the show!

Daryl Makk
Daryl Makk has been re-educating the sheeple of the world...one joke at a time since 1993! Since then his comedy has taken him across Canada multiples times, the USA, the U.K., Costa Rica and Australia.
Described by CBC radio as "A friendly good ‘ol boy, with knowledge and he’s not afraid to use it" he is a hit wherever he goes.
An expert storyteller Makk weaves us through life experiences woven together with jokes bringing us full circle by the end and wanting more. Whether it’s how Shakespeare ruined his dating world, surviving a hit and run or mocking a society’s irregularities, he’ll make a connection with everyone in the room.
His ability to read the crowd and choose jokes that fits their mood ensures you’ll never get the same order of material. He’ll take you to the edge of topics leaving you unsure of the outcome until you are howling at the punch-line.
Often booked for corporate shows has enabled him to select material that fits the crowd before him.

Cory Harding
With almost a quarter century of comedy stage experience Cory has toured 3 continents performing stand-up and has worked with some of the greatest in the business. He turns facts into jokes at an electrifying pace and keeps the Laughed Suddenly Tour up to date on the news of the world. Before this tour Cory’s career highlights include, JFL showcase performances, Seattle International Comedy Competition, The New York Underground and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals just to name a few.

Dustin Searcy

Hailing from Winnipeg but now making his home in Vancouver, Dustin Searcy is a force to be reckoned with. With a razor-sharp wit and an infectious sense of humour, Dustin has quickly become a household name in the world of Canadian stand-up comedy. His unique blend of observational humour, clever wordplay, and relatable family stories has audiences rolling in the aisles. Dustin has earned his stripes in the comedy circuit with an impressive array of accomplishments, including memorable performances at the renowned Just For Laughs Vancouver and OMNITV as well as producing his own live stand-up show ChitChat Comedy. Known for his unapologetic, side-splitting comedy, Dustin has a knack for turning everyday situations into uproarious comedic gold."

Charles Payne

Actor, Comedian, Writer, and Motivational Speaker Charles Andrew Payne has performed comedy across Canada and the US both at comedy clubs and festivals as well as for many corporations. He has appeared in numerous television shows, films, commercials, and theatre productions including playing Breeze on MacGyver, Triple on The L Word, Jock on Wynonna Earp, and Reverend Reece on Miracle in East Texas.
His writings have been featured in various publications and produced on the theatrical stage as well as on television. Charles was the head writer and one of the stars for the Rosie nominated (Best Web Series
2017) Web Series: The Parent Council. In addition, Charles was a co-founder of Vancouver's The Fox
& Hounds Theatre Company. He has appeared in most of their productions, as well as produced and directed several shows.
