In celebration of International Chorister Day, the Maple Infused Classic Breakfast radio program on Edmonton’s Big E Radio programmed a full 90-minutes of choral music last week, and we were thrilled to be highlighted! Brava, conducted by Elaine Quilichini, is featured (at 1:04:30) singing Eleanor Daley’s beautiful setting of Rise Up My Love for treble choir.

Part of Brava’s “Collection” CD, Rise Up My Love was a Calgary Girls Choir commission and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

As our 2026-27 season kicks off, International Chorister Day is a great moment to acknowledge our 120 dedicated and talented choristers who make up Dolce, Viva, Brava, and Espressa.

Thank you to our Dolce chorister Eliya for her uplifting
illustration about what choir means to her! We love how it depicts the joy and connection created by singing together.

We are taking time on this day to reflect on the tragic legacy of residential schools, remember the children we lost to them, and honour the survivors.
