Southern Alberta Pioneers and their Descendants The SAPD exists to keep the memories of early Pioneers and Old-timers alive.

The main object of the SAPD is to rescue from oblivion the memory of the early pioneers and to obtain and to preserve narratives of their exploits, perils and adventures. One of the ways the organization supports its efforts is by renting the building to others for events.

AIN’T WE GOT FUN: CALGARY AND THE ROARING 20’S

The War to End Wars was over, and women had won the right to vote. We did it, we won, so let’s party! We often see the 20’s through an American lens — gangsters, speakeasies, shocking fashions, fast jazz, scandalous movie idols, relaxed morals, crazy stunters, a booming economy and shady stock deals - till it all came crashing down in 1929.
