The Canada Lifestyle Fashion Show & Exhibition 2026 brought together designers, models, artists, entrepreneurs, community leaders and fashion enthusiasts for an unforgettable celebration of Pakistani and South Asian fashion on a Canadian platform.

Presented by The World in Vogue and RMD Lifestyle Events Inc., the sold-out evening at Dera Banquet Hall featured an impressive lineup of designers and collections, creative direction by Hassan Riaz, and the presence of distinguished guests including Saife Hasan and Hon. Muhammad Yaseen.

Beyond the runway, the evening celebrated something even bigger, community and inclusion. A special children's walk in collaboration with Calgary's Inclusive Social Club created a meaningful platform for special children to experience the runway alongside professional models and designers.

From breathtaking fashion and cultural storytelling to live music, community recognition and meaningful collaborations, every element contributed to an evening that celebrated the diversity and creativity of our communities.

The journey continued with the Canada Lifestyle Exhibition on August 30, extending the platform to brands, entrepreneurs, creatives and the wider community.

What began as a vision to bring Pakistani culture and fashion to a wider international audience has become a growing platform for fashion, cultural exchange, collaboration and inclusion.

And this is only the beginning.

Knowledge. Care. Empowerment.

A few glimpses from a meaningful Community Awareness Seminar, presented in collaboration with YYC Giddha and Folk, bringing together community voices, professionals, and individuals dedicated to creating greater awareness and meaningful conversations.

The event featured Veerpal Dhatt, Rajveer Chahal, Simpy & Rohini, Ramandeep Sidhu, and TC Legal, who came together to share knowledge, perspectives, and valuable insights with the community.

More than just a gathering, the seminar created a space for awareness, learning, dialogue, and empowerment, encouraging individuals to ask questions, understand important issues, and become more informed members of their community.

Events like these remind us of the importance of coming together, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and creating spaces where meaningful conversations can take place.

From Kamalia to New York. From Punjab to London. A timeless Pakistani textile takes the international runway.

Pakistani designer Omar Mansoor has placed one of Punjab’s most distinctive handwoven traditions at the centre of his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “The Living Loom.”

Built entirely around handwoven Khaddar from Kamalia, the collection presents a powerful conversation between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary fashion. Rather than altering or concealing the character of the fabric, Mansoor allows the natural irregularities, texture, weight, and handwoven quality of Khaddar to remain visible — making the material itself the defining element of the collection.

The result is a refined collection of sharp jackets, coat dresses, A-line silhouettes, and long, straight dresses, where structure and simplicity allow the textile to speak for itself.

The colour palette is deliberately restrained, limited to ivory and black. With colour taking a step back, the focus remains firmly on the tactile beauty of the Khaddar and the craftsmanship behind it.

Subtle triangular details draw inspiration from Indus Valley pottery and ancient forms, incorporated with a light touch so they complement rather than compete with the fabric.

And then came the international stage.

New York Fashion Week — September 10, Broadway.
London Fashion Week — September 19.

For Mansoor, London marked another significant milestone: his 21st appearance on the London Fashion Week schedule.

“The Living Loom” is more than a collection. It is a reminder that heritage does not have to be transformed beyond recognition to belong on the world's biggest fashion stages.

Sometimes, the most powerful statement is allowing craftsmanship to remain exactly what it is.
