Grad Feature: KATE

Learn a bit about our 2026 Graduating Class:
• What are your plans after graduation? Next year I will be attending the University of Calgary for a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Major in Exercise and Health Physiology, with my end goal being to go into Medicine!

• Who inspires you? My family inspires me, especially my two older brothers. I have always looked up to my brothers, and having them as role models has really pushed me to accomplish my goals and dreams, as they have shown me that in the end hard work really does pay off!

• Favorite DOE memory: While it’s hard to pick one after so many years of great dance memories. Definitely one of my favourites is from competition 2019 when our jazz group “Supergirls” made it to the Danceworks Showdown in Red Deer. We ended up winning 1st place in our division, but we were all so tired and excited that we burst into tears. Looking back on it now, and remembering how little we were, I find our reaction pretty funny

• A fun fact about me: A fun/interesting fact about me is that I am currently in the process of applying for the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves to be a Combat Medic!

We are so excited for our Junior Showcase and to see our youngest students shine bright on stage today.

We encourage all families to double check their emails for all the show details and double check you have your costume and dance shoes. Tickets are still available through the theatre box office .

Grad Feature: ANJOLIE

Learn a bit about our 2026 Graduating Class:
• What are your plans after graduation? My plans after graduation is to take a gap year and go travelling to different places. After that I want to go to college to become a nurse.

• Who inspires you? My mom is someone who inspires me to be a better person because I see how hardworking she is and she has a very kind heart.

• Favourite DOE memory: My favorite Dance on Edge memory is really just being able to make so many friends and meet so many amazing people that make my experience so much more positive.

• A fun fact about me: Something interesting about myself is that I love to paint

Grad Feature: CALISSA

Learn a bit about our 2026 Graduating Class:
• What are your plans after graduation? After graduating, I am attending the University of Calgary for their four-year Energy Science program in the fall. Then, my plan is to take the steps toward pursuing a career in environmental law.

• Who inspires you? Somebody who really inspires me is my older sister. For as long as I can remember, I have always looked up to her and admired her tenacity for achieving her goals. I have never known her to be someone who gives up on the dreams and visions she has for her life. To me, she is the perfect example of how hard work can get you to where you want to be!

• Favourite DOE memory: One of my favourite memories at the studio was when Miss Mackenzie brought in the poms and taught us a fun combo!

• A fun fact about me: I’ve been dancing at the studio for 15 years. It really has become my second home!
