- way back. Our namesake Adela was our founder's grandmother. She was a beauty with auburn hair, green eyes and a a lovely voice. She had been asked to sing fandangos in movies (her father did not permit it). At the end of every phone conversation with her grandkids she would excitedly demand NOW GIVE ME MY KISSES!!!! The grandkids would wildly blow a million kisses into the air with the belief that she could feel them.
