Canmore Highland Games 2026!
Big news....Isla won her first GOLD medal ever! Ivy and Isla danced very well and placed well in pdbs and pdbs+hc! It was freezing but they did their very best and had great attitudes!
Evelyn just missed out on the aggregate trophy while Sadie and Bella earned a placing each! Well done everyone (parents especially) for narrowly avoiding hypothermia!

Schedules and registration forms went out on August 2nd for returning students. If you haven't already, please confirm your spot by tomorrow as there are other dancers on a wait list.
Also, please confirm whether or not your dancer plans to compete in Canmore so I can structure the class(es) accordingly.

Very sad to see that George has passed away. Year after year, he really made the trip to compete in Pleasanton, California extra special. His voice was unmistakable and I can still hear it. Proudest Scotsman I ever knew, except for my Dad! I was really happy to have been able to have a quick visit a couple of years ago and he let me know how very cool he thought it was that I was back in California to judge the Pleasanton HG. He'll be missed. 😪

So very privileged to have learned from Bill for most of my life! And I'm still constantly learning from him! This award is so well deserved. Proud of you, Bill! ❤️

What an incredible weekend we’ve just shared! So much to share and we will in time. To commence our social media followup to we are honoured to announce our 2026 inductee to The Internationals Hall of Fame!
Involved in Highland Dance for more than 40 years as a teacher, adjudicator, examiner and choreographer, his students have won many championships including Canadian Championship Titles and placing Too 6 at Worlds.
A Fellow, Examiner, Technical Advisor and Deputy Delegate to the RSOBHD Technical Committee of the , Independent Member of and Honorary Life Member of the Alberta Highland Dancing Association.
Immediate Past President of ScotDance Canada and co-chair of the World Highland Dancing Conference 2011, 2015 and 2025. His workshops around the world are revered.
A teacher, mentor, advisor and friend to many around the world. His contribution is truly unique and Highland Dance would not be what it is today without it. We were thrilled for to be present to accept his induction in person.

Big congratulations to Ms. Ivy who was pleased as punch that she won gold in both the Primary dances she competed in! Then she went on to help lead the opening ceremonies parade!

Further congrats to Sadie and Bella who placed in every dance they did!
