Global Inspiration
Paper Pumpkin - August 2026 “Kindred Greetings”
Are you enjoying all the Paper Pumpkin inspiration on this page ? I hope so! My friend Renee and I are here again with 4 more alternative projects to make with your August kit.
One of the great things with this collaboration, is to see the different vision and inspiration we can both get with the same kit. You’ll see our personal styles shine through the projects and I really like this variety!
Of course, you can always simple follow the instructions and make all the projects as designed. There is nothing wrong with that and I often do that when I want a super chill creative escape. But sometimes, you want to stretch your creative muscles a little bit more, and that is when you can truly have fun using the content of the kit and use them in different ways. That’s literally thinking outside of the box!
Let me share our projects, created by Renee and myself, using the contents of the kit and a few other supplies.
The first two projects are from me. For the first one, I stayed pretty close to the original design of the kit, with some added touches for an “extra” look. I added a panel of Lost Lagoon cardstock and some stamping on the card to highlight this colour. I’ve also added a panel of embossed cardstock for more texture. Some riboon, twine and embillishments finish the card.
In my second card, I wanted to change the colour scheme a bit, which is why I brough in the Pecan Pie card base and the mal of Calypso Coral. I couldn’t resist using the intricate design of one of the projects as a mask (I can never resist a good reason to mask!) and used the Blending Brushes to add the background in an ombré pattern.
Renee’s projects (last 2 photos) are gorgeous, aren’t they? The first one is a Clean and Simple design. She cut the leaf element in two to create two smaller pieces. The elegant design is finished with some sparkly embellishments. I love how different the leaves look, just by cutting them in two. So clever! Her second project used the stamps and a different colour scheme. The leaves in a darker green with a touch of yellow in the heart accents is so sweet! I also love the panels in the background that add texture and interest without taking the focus away from the images.
