๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด is a collaborative project by artists Lindsay Montgomery and Yvonne Mullock that merges ceramics, drawings, ritual, voice, performance into a participatory experience open to all.โฃ

Incubated during a month-long residency in November 2025 at Medalta, a historic industrial ceramics complex in Medicine Hat, ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด draws inspiration from historic parting rituals in which songs, camaraderie, and a final drink were shared amongst departing guests.โฃ

Reimagined as an improvised feminist ritual, ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด takes the form of a ceremonial tea-drinking and cake-eating performance using handmade ceramic vessels, spoken word and costumes. โฃ

Through these acts, ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด reinterprets historical ritual practices through a feminist lens, transforming drinking from a site of excess into one of agency, communion, and shared authorship.โฃ

At its heart ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด is a celebration of the creative community, an offering that recognizes the value of gathering, collaboration, and the act of making meaning together. Through symbolic gestures, shared consumption, and collective voice, the work draws on ritual as a way to reconnect participants with an embodied, communal experience.โฃ
