The Royal Fɨ̀mbaŋ dance is one of the most prestigious traditional royal dances of the Kom Kingdom.

The dance was beautifully and skilfully executed by the Kom Women during the Kom-Canada Komvention 2026 in Montréal. Amongst other things, this dance serves as a vibrant expression of royal nobility, cultural pride, identity and historical celebration.

If you thought we were done sharing highlights from our national Komvention held last month in the heart of the beautiful city of Montréal, think again! We are just getting started.

How could we wrap up without celebrating the incredible energy, vibrant presence, and unwavering support our brothers and sisters from the USA brought to Montréal? Their enthusiasm and generous support were true testaments to our shared commitment - ensuring our rich heritage is proudly promoted and preserved for generations across every Kom community in the diaspora.

They truly brought the house down, lighting up the floor and showcasing our culture to the infectious rhythm of "I Realized My Mistakes" by Bryz Kizzo.
