Shayla will be teaching a Variations and Partnering workshop July 12th at DanceCo St.Albert.
Intermediate level classes are open to dancers who are proficient in walkovers, and the Advanced level classes are open to dancers proficient with their aerials and/or back handsprings.

As a member of Team Canada’s acrobatic team, Shayla earned 3 gold medals at the IDO World Acrobatic Championships. She has also been recognized as a top Acro Dance soloist at the Dance World Cup and World Dance Challenge.
Shayla has taught across British Columbia’s Lower Mainland and works as a Team Canada coaching assistant, mentoring athletes and helping guide them to the world stage. Her professional experience includes appearances in music videos and movies including the Simone Biles Movie. Shayla has travelled to Los Angeles and Las Vegas to compete in international competitions including a circus festival, VIVA Fest, where she was approached by America’s Got Talent to attend the live auditions for season 18 of AGT.
Currently, Shayla is training at l’École nationale de cirque in Montreal, training with current and former Cirque du Soleil artists continuing to develop her craft as an acrobatic specialist. She is certified through Acrobatic Arts, trained through the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA), and is an NCCP-certified artistic gymnastics coach. Shayla specializes in teaching acro variations, tumbling, and balancing, and is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers.
