PSA: It’s OK to try something different and end up with a result you don’t like!

I resisted to temptation just to turn this into my tried and true thread-plied art yarn, but it was essentially a leftover and I forced myself to try something out of my normal range. I resisted the second temptation to chain ply the singles like I normally do for scarf yarn.

This is traditional yarn and I DON’T LIKE IT! 😆

Hello Goose! I’m happy to welcome number 31 even if my now resident cat Porter is less than thrilled. Goose is still a little overwhelmed by his new surroundings but is starting to show curiousity toward to foodlady. He’s the most lovely shade of creamy orange and had stunning golden eyes. And yes, he’s missing part of his ear. These are the ones that call to my heart to help them out.

Dyepans. So many dyepans!
I’ve been hard at work making for the upcoming this weekend. Over 40 new braids of luxurious and colorful for all the spinners and felters in the crowd. Come see them in person on Saturday, April 11 from 10-4 at the Genesis Centre.

The Christmas craft shows are over and now there’s some time to settle in with a “me” project. I love my little at the holidays because I can bring it down in front of the tree and in the heart of the house.

This year’s project is a colorway that brings out the softer, sugary side of the holiday palette. And for the handweaver crowd, this is an experiment in using finer 16/2 cotton in a two strand structure to use up some fibre stash.
