✨🤠 Follow the Yellow Brick Road to First Flip! 🎪✨
 
Green Fools is bringing a little magic to Stephen Avenue with our towering Cowboy and Cowgirl Stilt Walkers at Tourism Calgary's First Flip.
 
Join us for a morning of free pancakes, live entertainment, and Stampede spirit as our larger-than-life characters wander through the crowd, pose for photos, and help kick off a day of celebration in downtown Calgary.
 
📍 Stephen Avenue (between 1st Street SE & Centre Street)
⏰ 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
🥞 Free Pancake Breakfast
🎪 Green Fools Cowboy & Cowgirl Stilt Walkers
 
No ruby slippers required. Just follow the smell of pancakes, listen for the music, and look to the skies. You might spot our stilt walkers long before you reach the griddle!

What an incredible day at Arts ReimaginED at the Werklund Centre! ✨

Green Fools was proud to welcome more than 420 students from schools across Calgary as they gathered to share their Changemaker Projects and celebrate the impact they are making in their communities.

Throughout the day, our team helped create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere with hands-on circus activities including juggling balls, diabolo, and plate spinning led by six of our talented circus instructors. Students had the opportunity to explore new skills, connect with one another, and experience the joy of play and creativity.

Guests were also welcomed by our stilt walkers representing the Four Directions — East, South, West, and North. In many Indigenous cultures, the Four Directions are connected to the Medicine Wheel and symbolize different stages of life, growth, wisdom, reflection, and our connection to the natural world.

Thank you to everyone who made this inspiring event possible. We loved celebrating creativity, leadership, and the next generation of changemakers. 💚

For more than 25 years, Social Circus has helped marginalized, at-risk, Indigenous, newcomer, and refugee youth build confidence, connection, resilience, creativity, and a sense of belonging through the power of circus arts.

Due to significant reductions in arts funding, our ability to provide Social Circus programming has been greatly impacted despite growing demand for the program.
