Conservatory Audition Applications are OPEN!

Interested in becoming a Kinkonaut? The first step is to apply to be a part of the 26/27 audition process!

Our audition process has changed: Over the past several years, we’ve been incredibly excited to see growing interest in auditioning for our Conservatory Program. With the number of applicants continuing to increase each season, we want to make sure every performer has the best possible opportunity to be seen, considered thoughtfully, and set up for a successful audition experience, which is why we are rolling out an audition application. This application is not meant to be a barrier. Rather, it helps us better understand each applicant’s experience, training, and connection to the community so we can create a cohesive conservatory cohort.

Audition applications will close on August 1. Applicants will receive notice regarding application acceptance, and successful applicants will receive audition details, by August 15.

Some of the things that may help strengthen your application include:

Completion of The Kinkonauts levelled classes (101, 201, 301) or equivalent training elsewhere

Being active participant in the Kinkonauts community (accelerator, classes, show attendance)

Previous improv, acting, comedy, or other performance experience

A reference from a current Kinkonauts company instructor (Classes or Drop in)

The Kinkonauts 26 Hour Improv Marathon!

May 1-2 2026. Donate what you like and stay for as long as you like.

The entire company comes out to play for 26-straight hours of improv on our stage. We've got to pay the rent, so we're doing a marathon to earn your donations!

Every hour will have a different show: some old classics, some entirely new ideas, and some shows that will happen once and never again. Some of improvisors will play the whole 26 hours, so check in regularly to see how they're doing.

The Kinkonauts presents "Life Improvised in the Guise of a Wes Anderson Tale." Our show explores themes, characters, and stories inspired by Wes Anderson films, taking the storybook nature of the films and moving them to an improvised stage production.

Detective Dick Montgomery and Doctor Jenkin Witts know that a murder has been committed in this very improv theatre. The only way to solve the case is to do a Kinkonauts Community Jam Show to catch the culprit! Help the Detectives listen to witness and culprit testimonies and then decide who done it. The detectives better find the guilty party before the murderer finds them...
