Hello beauties. We're sure you've all been wondering what the #*&% is happening over at Fozzy HQ these past few months, as typically we’re giving you all sorts of info about our upcoming event by now. It is important that all of you are kept in the loop with the challenges we’ve been facing, so here it goes...

We have been dealing with major legislative challenges relating to our 2016 event license and have been working tirelessly since January with regional authorities to try and resolve them. The next meeting with these authorities will be on June 10. This is an important one as it will determine whether we can go ahead with a full event.

In true Fozzy spirit, we’re NOT GIVING UP. We’ve created a petition (link below) to present to the regional authorities which will prove how much we need this festival to continue cultivating connection and love within our community. Well my friends, it is with no end of a heavy heart that I am making this statement today. It has been a long and hard year for all of us here in our fine city, with no end to the difficulties we have faced as both CEMF planners and as civilians. Between the changes in our leadership and structure, the costs of putting on an event sanctioned by the city and the sheer amount of festivals that have happened and are still to come, it has been decided. No one on the CEMF team is happy about the decision concerning this years festival, and believe us when we say we have fought tooth and nail to make this years festival happen. Unfortunately with all the mitigating factors we can not find a viable way. As such 2013 will be a year void of the Calgary Electronic Music Festival.
With that being said those of us on the team will be working harder than ever all year on events to help us raise the funds for 2014 and planning an event worthy of such a phenomenal scene in which we exist. While today we feel the pain of loss, tomorrow we shall feel the grace of victory and mark my words, we will come back stronger than ever before with a festival worthy of this city amd all she has contributed to the world market of Electronic Music.
All we can ask at this point is that you come with us for the ride and keep your eyes and ears open for all types of events this year. We want to thank you all for your understanding in this situation and we can't wait to see your beautiful smiling faces when we fill Millenium plaza in 2014.

Here is everything that went down at Defqon1 with the Boodang Crew!!!!

Boodang Music Canada had the pleasure of traveling far across the planet to bare witness to their very own James Bayliss play at Defqon.1 - the number one hard dance event in the world thrown by none other then Q-dance With great pleasure we will say James Baylissames Bayliss knocked em dead with 4 sets, one of which was tagging alongside Psyko Punkz and another at the Ultra Violet stage. And hours upon hours of Q-Dance Radioradio hosting alongside heavyweights Kutski and Audiofreq We are very very proud of how far James Bayliss has come in the 5 years we have worked together. And are excited for the things to come not only in regards to James but for the Hardstyle scene in Canada as a whole! Wanted to also thank everyone we meet and to the warm welcome we received when we got to the show, we were treated like stars and appreciate every Min of it!!! You can catch James at TEN NIGHTCLUB with COONE July 5th and ENCORE July 6th and also Tomorrowworld in ATLANTA on Sept 27th - 28th and 29th! Congratulations for all of your success Mr. Bayliss!!!
