This month, we're proud because our dragons officially got their own little shelf at Trinkets & Treasures on Whyte Ave in Edmonton.

Like, a real shelf. In a real shop. With real people walking by. (We are both excited and mildly feral about it.)

Dans une vraie boutique. Avec de vraies personnes qui passent devant. (Nous sommes a la fois excités et un peu sauvage.)

Kyle is home. 🧡

Okay friends, the big update is this: Kyle is out of the hospital and back home with us. Safe, tired, and officially on a rest and snacks plan.

We are so, so grateful for the love you sent. The messages, the check-ins, the little 🧡 reactions, all of it. It made a scary stretch feel a lot less lonely.

Today is a soft reset day. Water, snacks, naps, and the cats doing their very serious quality control duties.

If you were one of the people holding us in your thoughts, we felt it. Truly.

Ok les ami(e)s, la grosse nouvelle, c’est que Kyle est sorti de l’hôpital et il est de retour à la maison avec nous. En sécurité, fatigué, et officiellement en mode repos et collations.

Nous sommes tellement reconnaissants pour tout l’amour que vous nous avez envoyé. Les messages, les check-ins, les petites réactions 🧡, tout ça. Ça nous a aidés à traverser une période stressante en se sentant moins seuls.

Aujourd’hui, c’est une journée toute douce. Eau, collations, siestes, et les chats en mode contrôle qualité très sérieux.

Si vous avez pensé à nous, on l’a vraiment senti. Merci du fond du cœur.

🎨 A Quick Studio Update from KCT 🐉

Hey everyone! We wanted to pop in and let you know that our shop is still open, but our response times and order processing might take just a little bit longer over the next few days.

Kyle is currently in the hospital handling an unexpected medical issue. He is in the right place and getting great care, but it means our focus is split between the studio and the hospital room right now.

We are still here and working on your treasures, but we appreciate your patience and grace if it takes us a bit longer to reply to messages or ship orders out.

Is it tired, or can’t-start? 🧠

Some days the body says “rest,” but the brain says “nope, not loading.” That’s not laziness. That’s real life when masking, burnout, meds, or hunger all pile on at once.

Small wins still count. One text sent, one snack eaten, one tiny task started. That is hope sneaking back in.

Tell me, what’s your tiniest win today?

Est-ce que vous êtes fatigué, ou juste incapable de commencer? 🧠

Parfois, le corps dit “repos,” mais le cerveau dit “non, ça ne part pas.” Ce n’est pas de la paresse. C’est la vraie vie quand le masquage, l’épuisement, la médication ou la faim se mélangent.

Les petites victoires comptent aussi. Un texto envoyé, une collation mangée, une mini tâche commencée. C’est l’espoir qui revient tout doucement.

Filament waste becomes dopamine dangles.

This is what happens when we don't throw away the "failed" prints. We melt them down, mix the colors, and create something completely unique. No two pieces are the same.

Each little heart, paw, or dragon shape is made from what would've been trash. And somehow? They're some of our favorite products.

The colors are wild because they're honest. Marbled blues and oranges and greens all swirled together. Imperfect. Real. Fidget-friendly.

This is what sustainability looks like when you're a small maker. Not perfect. Just thoughtful. Just trying to waste less and create more joy.

The 3pm energy crash is real. Spent the day masking at work, came home to a paint table that's been waiting for me all afternoon.

Some days the brushes feel heavy. Some days the colors don't spark joy yet. But Yoda's on the chair supervising, there's coffee getting cold, and the dragons are patient.

Research shows ADHD brains need recovery time after social masking and decision fatigue. So yeah, it's okay if today's painting looks different than yesterday's. It's okay if I just sit here for a bit.

The work gets done when it gets done. And that's good enough.
