Calgary House Concerts

Calgary House Concerts Since 2011 we have provided safe spaces for independent songsmiths to perform and meet new Family Friendly audiences in their neighbourhood districts.

🎶 LIVE MUSIC — REAL CONNECTION
Outdoors & In the Community! 🌿

We’re hosting outdoor concerts whenever the weather allows—no longer in the yard, but in welcoming green spaces and local community centres so there’s more room for people to gather, connect, and enjoy. We partner with community centres where our intimate concerts raise the profile of live performance arts right in the neighbourhood. W

e look for every reason possible to bring people together. Music easily spans generations and inspires the Youthful Bridges initiative. These events are all about connection, creativity, and community—one song at a time. WHAT TO EXPECT:
âś… Soul-filling performances by talented professional musicians
âś… Youth musicians may open the show (through our Youthful Bridges program)
âś… Food Bank donations welcome
âś… Family-friendly, all-ages environment
âś… Powered by an awesome Youth Central volunteer team

BRING:
A friend, a lawnchair, a beverage, and your smile...
and join us to support independent musicians and enjoy an afternoon of live singer/songwriter performances—
and the most fun you’ll ever have in a lawnchair!

We’re so excited to welcome Tremoloco back for another fun, feel-good afternoon — bringing people together through music, connection & shared experience in a warm & casual setting
Veterans Association Food Bank Booster Concert.

This marks the third Calgary House Concerts get together with Tremoloco, and we’re thrilled to share them with our friends at the
Montgomery Community Cente is a natural fit for the CHC 'Live in the Community' vibe with their roots-driven, road-tested sound continues to resonate with Calgary audiences while offering something fresh and distinctive.

Coming up from California, Tremoloco brings a rare Tex-Mex–influenced sound not often heard in Calgary — blending roots, country, and rock ’n’ roll with the spirit of the Southwest. Shaped by years on the road, their music is relaxed, lively, and full of character — feel-good, toe-tapping energy that draws you in right away.

This show introduces Tremoloco into the community as part of the Montgomery Connective Music Project — connecting local and touring artists with music-supportive neighbourhood audiences in Montgomery and Bowness. It’s a perfect fit for a laid-back, all-ages afternoon where people gather, connect, and enjoy something a little different together.

In this intimate setting, the connection goes both ways — artists and audience share the same space, creating real human interaction. It’s not distant or staged; it’s personal. For many, it’s a rare introduction to live performance in a close community setting, and for artists, a chance to connect directly with the people they’re playing for.

That connection is powerful, grounding, and often humbling — creating lasting music memories rooted in real human interaction within a Calgary neighbourhood setting, far removed from a bar or nightclub — and serving as a starting point to grow lasting community connections through shared live music.

Sunday August 16th We’re truly excited to welcome J. Plank to Calgary House Concerts for his first Calgary visit. OUTDOORS/ All Ages & All Welcomed Tix https://calgaryhouseconcerts.ca/

Decades of touring around Texas and Vancouver Island have shaped his slightly dirty, lived-in sound, carrying the grit of the highway and the warmth of stories gathered along the way. There’s confidence in his pacing, ease in his delivery, and a calm presence that only comes from doing this hundreds of times. His master-level lap steel isn’t about flash — it’s a voice of its own, woven into the songs to shape mood and lift the music. His songwriting carries both grit and heart; nothing feels forced, it's honest. Come Along!

Calgary House Concerts has always been about more than presenting shows — it’s about connection: bringing exceptional independent artists into an intimate setting where music is heard the way it’s meant to be — up close, attentive, and shared. Jeff isn’t hype — he’s the real thing. Earned through miles. If you love roots music, Americana, blues grit & heartfelt songwriting. Come join us!

This special Food Bank Booster Concert supports the Veterans Association Food Bank continuing our tradition of bringing music, neighbours & community spirit gathered for a good cause & Music
