What a beautiful evening celebrating Calgary’s incredible theatre community at last night’s Betty Mitchell Awards 🔥🔥🔥

A huge congratulations to Eric Wigston on winning Outstanding Performance in a Drama for his unforgettable portrayal of Botticelli in Botticelli in the Fire.

Eric’s performance was poignant, deeply moving, and utterly captivating - one that will stay with us for a long time. We couldn’t be prouder of him, and of the entire cast and creative team. It was an honour to collaborate with Downstage on this extraordinary production and to help bring such an important story to the stage.

Stories like this matter. We need more q***r theatre in our city - stories that challenge, celebrate, and reflect the richness of our community. We hope this recognition is just the beginning, and that audiences will continue to embrace and champion this vital work.

Congratulations again to everyone involved. ❤️🏆
