Dear GlobalFest community,

We extend our sincere appreciation for your strong support and enthusiasm in our festival. It means a lot to us. We want to give you a brief update on the current situation to keep you informed.

Please be assured that GlobalFest has not been canceled. It is just on a temporary pause as we address the prevailing challenges. Our committed team is diligently working to resolve the principal concerns and to devise a comprehensive strategy for the festival's future. We intend to issue official announcements and details concerning GlobalFest 2026 by mid-January.

In the meantime, please stay connected for positive updates. There is no need to worry about a permanent end. This is just a short break. We value the great community we have built together and look forward to seeing you again soon.

GlobalFest – Momentary Pause

Across Canada, festivals are facing unprecedented financial pressure, and GlobalFest is no exception. Rising costs, global geo-political constraints and economic uncertainty have forced us to make the painful decision to temporarily suspend operations for now. Last year was a very difficult year for our festival. We had 11,000 fewer attendees than in the past. Our Board and Staff are working night and day to work through this. To ensure GlobalFest can continue, we have suspended ticket sales for the next six weeks. Our efforts will be to secure vital financial support to help bridge our going forward.

We envision our return to full operation by mid January with special ticket sales offers for those of you who had intended to take advantage of our Special Holiday Sale. We thank you for your support of GlobalFest and look forward to being able to serve you early in the New Year.

We have some big news to share with you! 🌟

GlobalFest wouldn’t be what it is without every single one of you — the families who’ve been coming since day one, the friends who make it an annual tradition, the longtime supporters who cheer us on, and the brand-new faces who light up when they experience the magic for the first time. You are the soul of this festival, and we never take that for granted.

As we plan for 2026 and beyond, we’ve been thinking deeply about how to protect and grow the experience we all love so much. After a lot of careful thought (and a few tough conversations), we’ve made a couple of changes that we believe will make GlobalFest even stronger, fairer, and more joyful for everyone who joins us each summer.

Here’s what’s new:
✨ We’re adjusting the 2026 cultural lineup and, with respect and gratitude, China will no longer be part of the program. If you hold tickets for China night, please visit globalfest.ca/faq for ticket exchange or refund information.
✨ The Premier Viewing area is going away — instead, the very best spots will now be open to ALL guests 🎆🎇
✨ Our Holiday Ticket Sale starts November 17 — the perfect way to snag seats early or give the gift of GlobalFest to someone you love 🎁🎄

This year, live opera meets classic rock and GlobalFest fireworks. Enjoy an evening under the stars with live performances by soprano soloist Alyssa D’Souza and DJ Rob Faust. Alyssa brings her powerful voice and theatrical energy to the stage, while DJ Rob Faust sets the tone with vibrant pre show music that gets everyone moving.
