👽 AUDITION NOTICE 🛸

ACTOR 3: STAN / DAD / SPIDER / MARTY

When Aliens invade the earth, Penelope’s parents leave to find help. When things go wrong, will Penelope be able to face her fears of barking dogs, yucky worms, ugly spiders and the dark to save her parents? Told with creative light and shadows, this play is filled with quirky and lovable characters in the era of the 1960’s sputnik hysteria. An imaginative roller coaster of investigating the unknown!

The deadline for submissions is Monday, June 8, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
Auditions will take place in-person on Monday, June 15, 2026

We were thrilled to welcome back Quest Theatre today to perform for our Grade 1-3 students.

Whispers in the Air is an invented story based on true events in St. Johns, Newfoundland, in 1901. Whispers in the Air seizes the imagination with skillful puppetry, unexpected invention, and visual storytelling. The play tells the story of the birth of the radio through the delightful journey of a young boy finding his own voice.

⏰ FREE ARTIST WORKSHOP ALERT ⏰

Participants will learn how to take an existing source and adapt it successfully for a variety of different TYA formats (school tour, family holiday production, youth theatre). This 2-hour workshop will cover how to approach the process of adaptation for the stage, and where on the scale of faithfulness any particular project could and should lie. We will also touch on: public domain, creating original stories around existing characters, and adapting your own work.  
Participants should have some experience/familiarity with playwriting and/or Theatre for Young Audiences, but do not need to come with a project in mind.
