Market Collective is an independent market, created to showcase the works of local artists, artisans and musicians and to strengthen the community in Calgary.

We believe in supporting creativity in the city of Calgary in every way that we can. This includes opening up space for musicians to perform, artists to sell their work, non-profit organizations to show their projects, and the community to express themselves through interactive displays and collaborative pieces. For each MC, we create an artist sponsorship in which we take submissions. This is to

New Artist Spotlight: By Dyl ✨

Welcome to the MC first-timers club!

Inspired by his years in animation and in response to the threat of AI taking over that space (boo!), Dylan was pulled to create physical pieces. He designs, saws, paints, polishes, and pieces everything together by hand in his home studio. We love how dynamic and timeless these works feel.

Artist Spotlight: Hamburger Hands 🍔

Kyle, the artist behind , loves to draw. Like, loooooves it. Lucky for us, because his work is weird, cheeky, bizarre, and wonderful (and yes, sometimes a lil NSFW 🙈). We wouldn’t have it any other way.

We’re so thrilled to welcome back to Market Collective this spring . Ashya, has been part of MC since the early days, and it feels really special to have her returning!

Ashya is a self-taught silversmith whose work is shaped by her Cree and Turkish ancestry. Each piece is grounded in the natural and spiritual world, drawing on ancestral and cultural teachings to create pieces that carry story and meaning. She also believes adornment should be accessible to all, no matter the budget.

Brittney is the artist and alchemist behind .life . Using plant-based dyes and locally sourced, upcycled textiles, her pieces are shaped by nature and process. Truly one-of-a-kind.

In this drop-in workshop, you’ll create your own naturally dyed bandana to take home or gift. Brittney will also have her handcrafted garments and botanically dyed, upcycled pieces available to shop, made for all bodies to enjoy!
