The new playground at 1052 Country Hills Circle NW is still happening!

A crew dropped off some of the equipment yesterday. We also found out yesterday September 21 is the construction date. No reason was given for the delay, but we thank everyone for their patience. We know it was hard not having a playground this summer!

We don't have an updated timeline for the new playground at 1052 Country Hills Circle NW.

We all wish the project could move faster. At this point, the timeline is dependent on the City of Calgary, weather, and factors outside our control. We pinged our Parks contact last week.

However, there are many awesome playgrounds in the Northern Hills area to enjoy in the meantime like the inclusive playground at Vivo.

This playground is a half hour walk away from Country Hills, a short drive or accessible by the 114 bus route. Next time you're at Vivo, check it out!

Vivo, in partnership with The City of Calgary, Parks Foundation, Creating Coventry, and the North Calgary Cultural Association (NCCA), offers a fully fenced inclusive playground in Country Hills Village.

The old playground at 1052 Country Hills Circle NW has been completely demolished and removed.

We're waiting to see if we can share the design mock up with you. We can tell you that the playground is going to be bright blue, green, and purple!

A new playground is coming to Country Hills! Championed by Country Hills Playground Boosters, the much loved playground at 1052 Country Hills Circle NW is being replaced with newer equipment.

The playground is now closed and being dismantled with new equipment to arrive later this month. The playground is managed by City of Calgary – Your Local Government.

Although we think of our neighbourhoods as "new", our amenities are aging and need replacement. If there's something in your community you would like to change, joining the NHCA as a board member is a great way to start! Anyone over 18 can become a Director At Large.

We're so excited! Changes to the playground at 1052 Country Hills Circle NW are happening sooner than we expected.

We still don't know what the playground will look like, but we're feeling very hopeful!

Our page has been a little quiet lately and we've been keeping something under wraps because we weren't sure ourselves when it would happen!

The Country Hills Circle playground has been chosen for the City of Calgary – Your Local Government's Playground Optimization & Lifecycle Program. We knew the playground didn't have much time left--so we're looking forward to the future!

Thank you to everyone who filled out our surveys and talked to us. All the information has been passed onto Parks.

Everyone’s community project and playground journey is different—and we’ve discovered that what worked for one group might not necessarily work for our group. Or, what worked in the past doesn’t work in the present.

After researching grant opportunities to help fund future playground upgrades, we discovered that two of them do not fund playground projects.

However, every "no" points us in the direction of a potential "yes," and we've been reaching out to community partners for help and advice.
