🎥 tumbling deep down inside the Zen Garden rabbit hole with .i

Now that we’ve had a chance to catch our collective breath, we want to send huge props to EVERYONE involved in this year’s edition of Zen Garden. A massive shoutout to the setup crews, artists, performers, DJs, volunteers, vendors, and partners who battled challenging weather to build such a surreal landscape, allowing us all to tumble down the rabbit hole together. 🐇🕳️

We can’t express enough gratitude to all of YOU who came out to dance and share that space with us. 🙏🙏🙏

Zen Garden is proudly artist-owned and 100% independent. No corporate or liquor sponsors, ever. We pay our artists well, we don’t charge our vendors or food trucks a penny, and we proudly donate a portion of our proceeds to our partners at the Shriners Hospital for Children. Profits are reinvested directly back into Zen to make the party that much better next year. That’s what this is all about…and it’s exactly what you supported by attending! Your support allows us to keep Zen Garden a boutique festival built with lots and lots of love ❤️…THANK YOU!

Stay tuned...’cause we can’t wait to show you what’s next…mwah💋💋💋

We refused to believe it. How could this happen to a guy who was universally loved, and had more talent in his pinky finger than most of us have in our whole body? None of it makes sense, and it never will. The shock will dull…but we will never get over this loss. 💔

As a founding partner in Deep Space Disco, Paul Johnson played an integral role in making the event happen, from start to finish.

To honour the work and love he poured into the community, every dollar from Deep Space Disco beyond production costs is going straight to a charity chosen by his son that will be donated in Paul’s name. We’re also funding a Calgary Parks memorial bench (location to be chosen by Paul’s family), so we all have a permanent spot to go sit and remember him by.

The impact he made on our lives is permanent, and we will carry his memory in our hearts forever.

Rest easy, Paul.
