Did you know that the white coloured pencil has a purpose. It helps blend your colours together. It can also add highlights ( though I find using a fine tipped posca pain pen or a white gel pen better for highlights) as well as lightening colours.

Top blended with white colored pencil bottom not. The effectiveness can also depend on the tooth of the paper.

Do you ever stare for a long time at a blank paper (canvas) waiting for a picture to form? I for sure do.

I have recently gained a respect for abstract art. Since being through some ruff patches in life I have been making "doodles" It has been cathartic. They don't make a recognizable picture but it gives me pleasure making them. Every step. I'm in the middle of this drawing and I even make shapes while filling in. It's enjoyable.
