This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe and the arrival of the War Brides in Canada. Over 65,000 women and children crossed the Atlantic, bringing with them courage, love, and dreams of a new beginning.

These women came from every corner of the United Kingdom and across Europe — each with her own story, each forever changing the fabric of Canadian life.

The Unicorn Collective is proud to honour their legacy with "The War Brides Are Coming," a heartfelt play following two women on the brink of a whole new life in Canada.
