As a child, I had wild fascinations which included my looks at 40. I imagined 40 to be an image of a grey-haired, old lady. As weird as that seemed at the time, I loved the idea of grey hair and couldn’t wait to be aged 40.
Now 40, I am neither greyed nor wrinkled which makes me laugh at my crazy childhood imaginations. Instead, To the glory of God, I feel rather distinguished. Therefore, turning 40 today marks a remarkable number, time, and age.
As an individual, I have always strived for a life of impact and inspiration. Thus, I have been blessed with the best birthday gift ever. I gift myself with the launch of “Sheros Care” initiative which is a gift of love, care, kindness, and selflessness.
“Sheros Care” initiative is an outreach in care of widows, for widows are heroes. This initiative has long lived in my heart and thoughts.
Special thanks to the dedicated, selfless, and kind, individuals who helped explore communities to identify widows that benefited from this maiden edition. Charity begins at home they say. Therefore 10 of these beneficiaries are from my hometown while another 10 are from my marital hometown. These families were gifted food items, and they were visibly elated.
“Sheros Care” initiative is very personal to me, and I am excited to drive this impactful responsibility to wherever it takes me. Cheers to 40th!
